Should I be friends with my ex best friend?

I was best friends with this girl Devon and her twin sister Emma for more than ten years. Last year, when we were twelve, she started to act snobby and ignoring me and our other good friends Leah and Lauren. To make a long story short, we had a huge fight and we haven't spoken since. In addition, Emma and I are no longer friends, and our parents who used to be great friends, are also no longer friends.

Our school is having a student exchange program with our sister city in Japan - a town called Fujinomiya. As luck would have it, Devon, Leah, Lauren, and I are were all chosen to go on the trip with sixteen other students. We were put into groups to research some of the other cities we would be visiting. My group consisted of two guys Davis and Ben, Devon, and I.

All of a sudden, she seems so much nicer and so much more sincere than she did last year. She's like the friend I grew up with. Which leads me to my question - should I try to be friends with her?

I'm so torn over this...

It's okay to let things go. It's part of growing up. Just go into it not expecting her to be the same person and not expecting you guys to be best friends again.

I think that you atleast be friends with her and try to get along with her but good luck !!!xoxoxoxo
sure why not
hey i've had the same thing happen when my friend stabed me in the baack and we were ex best friends and got grouped up for a long trip to disney world and i saw he had changed so i just gave him a second chance and we are still friends so yeah
of course you should...it is good to forgive and it will sure feel good when you do. everybody deserves a 2nd chance. we are human we all make mistakes.soo, go ahead give her another chance ;).
You should tell her how rotten you felt when she was unfriendly to you, and that you want to learn why she behaved that way.
There's 2 possibilities -

1) she misses you and wishes you were friends again. or

2) She's using you because there's noone else to talk to.

What I say is when you go back home, see if she tries to call you, if not than she was just using you.
just be civilize with her and see what happens
